I was talking about Thai food a few weeks ago and how I miss it from the States because it's so hard to find in Japan. I just found out that the Thai embassy has a list of Thai restaurants in Japan. There was none in Akita, but one was listed for Aomori:

I don't know how authentic it is. I've never eaten there. Maybe someone else can try it out and tell us how it is.
